Awhile back I woke up with an itchy set of bumps on my right side. Initially, I thought it was a spider bite. After a quick google search I realized I might have shingles. A trip to the doctor confirmed my self-diagnoses.
It’s rather intimate to share something like this, but I do it in hopes that it’ll inspire others to listen to their body sooner than I listened to mine. We have to remember that everything we do in this life has a cost. And most of the time we don't pay it until later. I call it ‘Life Credit.’ It’s no different than Visa or MasterCard, only instead of borrowing against our prosperity, we’re borrowing against our emotional, physical and spiritual health. The worst part about it is that we don’t know when the bill is due. But one thing is for certain, it will be. And when that time comes I believe it’s best to make sure we haven’t over extended ourselves.
Today I’m well. But that’s because I made the changes I knew were necessary. And it was almost too late. Lucky for me, I have a strong spirit. Maybe you need to make a change. Don’t wait for the bill. Do it now.
Peace and punches!
