This is my 30th blog post since embarking on spreading the "good" of Good Men Brotherhood, DC. The number doesn't feel like much of a milestone in comparison to say 100 or 200, but it’s a step in the right direction. Today I’m going to take another step.
I've binged some weeks and laid back others. Sure, I had a life change that put the tour on hold and relocated me to Arizona. Then there was all the prep necessary from My Stuff, Their Junk to Saying Goodbye to Sam. And my posts? They've covered topics ranging from spirit to defense. And it's interesting because all of the artists seem drawn to the ones geared toward spirit and almost turned off by the ones on defense, ironically the defenders are more open to both. It helped me realize though that I'm a conundrum. It would probably be easier for me to build a brotherhood branded as a defense club if I took selfies working out while sporting camouflage during a knife drill. But that's not me, nor does it resonate with our code. We have to remember that who we are may not fit the mold. That’s okay. That’s what makes us unique. Be uniquely you!
The reason I founded this club was to help others find the emotional and physical stability the GMB Code provided me. In hopes to connect with more souls on a regular basis I'm making Monday the new standard. I’m not sure about the time yet. I’ll push and pull it to find out what resonates.
Oh, and did I mention the book is coming along nicely? That's one thing I found from this blog I never knew I had, a love of writing. Ever think about creating your own blog? If you do, be sure to let me know, I'd love to read it.
Peace and punches!
