I have everything because I want for nothing. I prefer old jeans to new slacks, worn out combat boots, to fancy shoes. A $2 Happy Hour makes me feel just as good as a 5-Star restaurant. And while my jeep is filled with dog hair from years of carting my two beautiful girls around, each and every one makes me smile
Possessing the ability to steer a conversation away from conflict is perhaps one of the greatest forms of defense. For the majority of us, it's our mouth that gets us into trouble. And that happens when our mind overrides our spirit. Our spirit is alive and present completely submerged in the now.
The majority of my life I’ve tried to fit in. When I was young I strived to be athletic. I wasn’t. In my teens I found the arts. That seemed to resonate. But as I moved down the path to turn creating into a profession I realized my core principles weren’t parallel to those in the entertainment industry.
I'd say the biggest difference between those that desire and those that achieve is discipline. Persistence tends to be considered at the forefront, but without discipline, what is there really to be persistent about?
