Everywhere we look, everything we see or hear, for the most part, encourages a state of desire. Scroll through instagram and within five minutes you’ll feel flooded with wants; a new car, a tiny house, a vacation abroad, great abs, you name it.
There's an excellent short film called, "The Listening Hour" by Kelcy Valletta that I highly recommend watching. It's currently making rounds at film festivals across the country. Once distributed, I'll be sure to post a link.
The premise is that life is happening all around us, all we have to do is open our senses to feel it.
There once was a beautiful little girl who found herself lost in a garden. The plants began to consume the sun and before she knew it they merged to form walls all around her. The girl thought, “Why I think I’m lost in a maze.”
